Meditation & Botanical Drawing… a workshop
With Artist Colette Wright Adams at Garfield Park Conservatory 300 N Central Park, Chicago, IL
Join the artist in a gentle & mindful meditation before creating your own handmade book filled with botanical drawings.
Colette will guide us through a simple breathing practice, walk through the Garfield Park Conservatory and then settle in to create our own folded book. Creative prompts for drawing accommodate both novice and expert levels of skill in drawing.
$20 per person, all materials supplied. (Bring your own beverage) Limit of 10 total , 18+ Pre-register at colettewrightadams@gmail.com

Colette Wright Adams received her BFA from University of Michigan and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She founded and is director and lead curator for the Uptown Arts Center. She is a long time student of meditation and New Thought philosophy. She recently completed a DIY Residency at Garfield Park Conservatory.

Work along side me in the studio as we explore mediums and applications. Novice to professional
Watercolor, Notan drawing and a variety of other mediums & approaches are explored usually in quarterly segments throughout the year. ( 3 months/sessions devoted to each)

- a light snack & spring water
- all materials
- meet new people or bring a gaggle of cohorts
- sanitized surfaces & small groups (when in the studio)
- conversation & fun :)
