Garfield Park Conservatory 2018-2019 Mixed-media collection
A self-created writing and painting residency between July 2018 and August 2019. Spirit guided drawings and encounters with visitors, human & animal.
This series was created over a year the artist spent at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago.
They are all on Bristol board, card stock or watercolor paper with a variety of mediums in each mixed-media piece. Some larger pieces incorporate collage and vintage wallpaper. Gouache, gel pen, highlighters, watercolor and pencil are used most often.
